Karate On Film…International Film Festival

Lets face it, there are some that just despice film festivals…but to see people really kicking each other instead of sound effects and visuals, other than those done by Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee or several other big time movie stars, you need to check out the independent films.
As some of you know, Master Serrano and Daniele Silva worked on a short film project named “CHI” at the end of 2005 with Director Chris Vallone of NY. The short film was action packed full of realistic fight scenes between Daniele and Christine Bardelli of Southbury, choreographed by Master Serrano. CHI was recently submitted to the Action on Film International Film Festival, running in conjunction with Black Belt Magazine’s Festival of the Martial Arts, in LA. Thousands of films from around the World were submitted to this festival. CHI was not only accepted, but was nominated for “Best Action Sequences in a Short Film” with 5 other films, and both Daniele and Christine were nominated for “Break Out Female Action Star” along with 3 other female actors. We are proud to announce that our very own Daniele Silva was named “Break Out Female Action Star” for the festival and received an award in recognition. Please congratulate her on her win.
